Terms of service

Plain terms for a tool that acts on your ATS on your instruction. The important one: you are responsible for having the right to connect the system you connect.

Last updated 2 August 2026

Draft — not yet reviewed by counsel

This text describes what the product actually does, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and the following still need completing:

  • Legal entity name and registered address
  • Governing law and the courts that hear disputes
  • Refund and trial terms, once billing goes live

Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using Recruit Swipe you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an employer or client, you confirm you are authorised to bind them, and "you" means both of you.

Who can use it

Recruit Swipe is for professional recruiters and hiring teams. You must be 18 or over. There is no candidate-facing side to this product and candidates do not hold accounts.

Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including actions taken by teammates you invite to a seat.

Connecting a source

This is the part that matters most. When you connect an applicant tracking system or job board:

  • You confirm you are permitted to grant that access — by your employer, your client, and the provider's own terms.
  • You instruct us to read the requisitions and candidates you select, and to perform the write actions you configure, on your behalf.
  • You remain responsible for what those writes do inside your ATS. Advancing a stage, rejecting a candidate, or leaving a note is your decision; we carry it out.
  • You are responsible for compliance with employment and data protection law in the places you recruit, including any notice you owe candidates.

We act as your processor for candidate data. Our privacy policy sets out how that works.

Acceptable use

Do not use Recruit Swipe to:

  • Access an ATS account you are not authorised to access.
  • Extract candidate data in bulk for resale, or to build a competing database.
  • Discriminate unlawfully against candidates, or to automate a decision the law requires a person to make.
  • Circumvent rate limits, probe our infrastructure, or interfere with other customers.
  • Resell or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.

Fees

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, at the prices shown on our pricing page. Team plans are paid by the team owner, and adding a seat changes the amount billed from the next period. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. We will give notice before any price change takes effect for you.

Recruit Swipe is currently in private testing and billing is not yet enabled for general use.

Availability

We work to keep the service up but do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we depend on the availability and behaviour of your ATS provider's API. Where a provider's API changes, degrades, or removes an endpoint, the affected capability may stop working; we will say so in the product rather than fail quietly.

Your data and ours

Your data stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you. Recruit Swipe — the software, the interface, and the brand — stays ours. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or resell it.

If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve the product without owing you anything for it.

Beta features

Integrations marked in the product as in development are exactly that. They are provided as-is, may change, and should not be relied on for a production pipeline until we mark them otherwise.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost hires, lost revenue, or damage to your relationship with a candidate.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending it

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to. On closure we delete your data as described in the privacy policy; disconnect your sources first if you want the cached copies gone immediately.

Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
